Testing Center
Schedule
Students must have an application on file and have a College Student I.D. number. You will need this number to complete the Online Orientation, take the Placement Assistant, or to seek advising. You may stop by I4-201, call (619) 388-2718, or email testing@sdccd.edu with any questions.

- First-Come, First-Served during Office Hours.
- No appointments necessary.
- Check-in with staff in I4-201.
- Photo ID and 10-digit ID number are required.
- Please arrive at least 30 minutes before closing.
ELAC/Non-Native English exams

- Photo ID and 10-digit ID number are required.
The ELAC exam is a timed exam designed to help non-native English speaking students select appropriate English classes. This exam allows students 45 minutes to complete 75 multiple choice questions.
Plan ahead:
- Arrive at least ninety (90) minutes before closing if taking the ELAC exam.
- Complete the assessment when you feel most capable.
- Tests are timed and may not be repeated for 1 year.
- Arrive early! To start the ELAC exam, you must first check-in with staff, fill out personal information, and answer background questions. Please ensure you do not come in too late in the day.
SHort Closures
The Assessment & Testing Office occasionally requires an early closure to facilitate
lab maintenance and staff meetings. These closures will occur on designated Friday
afternoons, from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. No closures are currently scheduled.
